Hazard Studies and Safeguard Verification for Startup Safety Training Course
1Summary
No amount of paperwork makes a hazardous facility safe to start up, only rigorous hazard studies and verified safeguards do. This training course puts that principle into practice, walking participants through the sequence of hazard identification, deviation analysis and safeguard verification that has to be completed, and demonstrably closed out, before hydrocarbons or hazardous materials are introduced.
Participants will build practical competency in applying HAZID techniques early in project development, conducting structured HAZOP studies to identify process deviations, and using LOPA to verify that protection layers are genuinely adequate. The course also covers the PSM framework that ties these studies together and the structured approaches needed to ensure startup safety. It is delivered by Arab British Fellowship Training Academy through its Hazard Studies and Safeguard Verification for Startup Safety Training Course.
