Environmental Impact Assessment and Protection Law: Training Course
1Summary
A land-development decision made without weighing its environmental cost tends to get expensive later — in remediation bills, legal exposure, or damage that cannot be undone. Environmental planning exists to catch that cost before it happens, by building the natural environment, governance, and social and economic factors into the decision itself rather than treating them as an afterthought.
This course, offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, gives participants the tools to do exactly that. It covers environmental impact assessment methods, the environmental consequences of industrial and urban projects, international and local environmental law, and the practical skills needed to manage environmental crises, protect biodiversity, and design safe, compliant waste and land-use systems.
2Objectives and target group
What You Will Be Able to Do:
- Explain the environmental planning process and how environmental impact assessment fits into it.
- Apply environmental survey skills in real project settings.
- Design and manage safe landfill sites for hazardous waste.
- Assess the environmental impact of municipal and development projects.
- Analyze the economic consequences of environmental problems.
- Manage environmental crises and disasters effectively.
Who Should Attend:
- Managers and supervisors in municipalities.
- Environmental officials.
- Employees responsible for waste collection, recycling, and disposal.
- Anyone looking to develop their skills in this field.
