Community Awareness Training Course on the Health Dangers of Smoking
1Summary
Despite decades of public-health warnings, smoking remains deeply embedded in daily routines for roughly a third of the world's population — around 1.1 billion people reach for tobacco, whether in cigarettes, shisha, pipes, cigars or water pipes, often as a way to cope with stress and the pressures of everyday life. Health warnings alone rarely change that behaviour; what moves people is awareness delivered well, by people who understand both the health facts and how to communicate them.
This Community Awareness Training Course on the Health Dangers of Smoking, offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, prepares participants to be that voice. The course builds the knowledge and communication skills needed to run effective anti-smoking awareness campaigns and health bulletins that actually change behaviour.
