Portfolio Risk in Practice: Building and Protecting an Investment Portfolio
1Summary
Why spread your money across a group of companies instead of betting on just one? Because if the price of one share you hold falls, gains elsewhere in your portfolio can offset the loss — that is the whole logic behind portfolio investment, and it is also why building a portfolio is such a personal exercise. How you should structure yours depends on your current income, your attitude toward risk, your age, and when exactly you will need the money.
This course, offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, takes that logic and turns it into a practical skill set: managing risk and applying the evaluation controls needed to keep a securities portfolio healthy over time.
