First Response Readiness: Public Health and First Aid Fundamentals Training Course

1Summary

In the first few minutes after an accident, the difference between life and death often comes down to whether the person nearby knows what to do. First aid is the immediate, temporary care given to someone facing a sudden medical emergency — bleeding, wounds, fractures, or burns — to keep them alive until specialised medical care arrives or they reach the nearest hospital. Anyone present at the scene can provide it, but only if they have been trained correctly on these procedures beforehand, whether through dedicated centres or as a working paramedic.

The Arab British Fellowship Training Academy built this course for anyone who wants to improve the quality and efficiency of health services and is looking to move into this field.

2Objectives and target group

Who Should Join:

  • Anyone interested in the field of ambulance work.
  • Newcomers entering the ambulance and nursing professions.

What You Will Take Away:

  • Why following correct first aid rules protects a casualty's life, prevents their condition from worsening, and supports their recovery.
  • A solid theoretical grounding that prepares you for more specialised, hands-on courses later.
  • The minimum knowledge anyone entering ambulance work needs about first aid responsibilities and securing an injured person.
  • Core emergency measures and how to prioritise them on scene.
