Contract and Legal Memo Writing: Modern Translation Standards in Practice
1Summary
A legal memo is only as strong as the thinking behind it — much like a piece of scientific research, its credibility rests on two things: how well it was prepared, and whether it followed a genuinely methodical approach. This course trains legal professionals to write and translate contracts and legal memos to that standard, catching material errors or gaps before they ever affect a case outcome, whether the document ends up in English or Arabic.
Getting there takes more than technique — it takes what practitioners call "legal sense": the ability to draw sound conclusions from an in-depth, impartial study of a case's full circumstances. That sense builds on a strong grounding in the applicable laws and regulations, which is exactly what this course works to strengthen alongside the practical writing and translation skills participants need.
