Training Course in Overcoming Global Barriers to Mental Health Care
1Summary
In many parts of the world, someone struggling with their mental health still cannot find, cannot afford, or cannot reach the care they need. That gap between need and access is one of the defining challenges facing health systems today, and closing it takes more than good intentions — it takes people who understand the economic, social, cultural and organizational forces shaping mental health care delivery.
This course, offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, is built around that gap. It examines why mental health services fall short across different regions of the world, reviews the innovations and technologies reshaping the field, and equips participants with practical tools to design effective, integrated strategies, ready to apply in local and international contexts alike.
