Managing Relational Databases and Mastering SQL: A Training Course
1Summary
Every time a company searches for a customer’s order history, updates stock levels, or pulls last quarter’s sales report, a database management system and a query language are doing the real work behind the scenes. A DBMS is the set of programs that controls how data is organised, stored, updated and retrieved — capable of running many databases at once and letting multiple users work with them simultaneously — while SQL is the language used to actually talk to that data.
This course builds both sides of that skill: creating and linking database tables from sources such as Excel, Word or other databases, and writing the SQL that retrieves, updates and protects the information stored inside them.
2Objectives and target group
By the end of the course, participants will recognise:
- How to update, operate and maintain relational databases.
- How to protect the security and integrity of stored data.
- How to control the synchronisation of processes running against a database.
Who should attend:
- Establishment owners and managers looking to develop their business, and managers of offices and enterprises.
- Managers of state institutions and economic or commercial establishments.
- Database management systems developers, and chiefs of sections responsible for information confidentiality.
- Employees in technical departments and organisations already using software systems.
- Managers and supervisors of software and IT departments who want to develop their teams.
