Municipal Governance and City Administration Course

1Summary

Running a city well comes down to a handful of practical skills: managing a budget, planning land use responsibly, delivering services people can rely on, and knowing how to handle conflict when it comes up. The Arab British Fellowship Training Academy put together this course to build exactly those skills for anyone working in municipal administration.

A municipality is the government body closest to daily life — it lights the streets, plants the trees, drains the rain, and approves the buildings people live and work in. The head of the municipality carries real authority over how projects get implemented and how staff and purchasing decisions are made, and can delegate parts of that authority to deputies. This course walks through how that authority is exercised well.
