Accounting Theory and Financial Decision-Making Course

1Summary

Every disclosure decision a company makes – what to report, how much detail to give, and when – rests on a theoretical foundation, whether managers realise it or not. This course, delivered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, unpacks that foundation and shows how accounting theory actually shapes real financial decisions.

Rather than treating accounting as a fixed set of rules, participants work through the competing theories that explain why financial information is disclosed the way it is, and practise applying them through simulated real-world scenarios with structured feedback. By the end, participants are able to read accounting choices through a theoretical lens and apply that understanding to their own working environment.
