Facing the Cameras: A Training Course in Media Spokesperson Skills

1Summary

A single sentence, said in the wrong tone at the wrong moment, can undo months of an institution's reputation-building. That's the weight a media spokesperson carries — every camera, every microphone, every difficult question is a moment where the institution's image is genuinely on the line.

This Facing the Cameras course, run by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, is built around that reality. Rather than starting from theory, participants train directly on the situations a spokesperson actually faces: crafting a message that lands, handling a hostile question without losing composure, managing a crisis in real time, and building the kind of long-term credibility that makes a spokesperson trusted by press and public alike.
