Designing and Governing an Operational Readiness Framework Training Course (Online / Remote)

1Summary

Why do so many projects reach mechanical completion on schedule yet still stumble at startup? In most cases, the answer is that readiness was managed as a set of separate checklists instead of one connected system. This training course tackles that gap directly, giving participants a practical grounding in designing an Operational Readiness Framework that ties structure, governance, and verification into a single, accountable system spanning the full project.

Participants will learn to structure a scalable readiness model that adapts to projects of different size and complexity, and will build the governance skills needed to keep a framework accountable, including clear roles and decision-making authority. The course also covers embedding assurance activities so readiness claims are verified rather than assumed, aligning readiness work with every stage of the project lifecycle, and connecting framework outputs to wider project management systems. It is delivered by Arab British Fellowship Training Academy through its Designing and Governing an Operational Readiness Framework Training Course.

2Objectives and target group

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why fragmented readiness efforts fail and how an integrated framework fixes this
  • Structure a scalable Operational Readiness Framework and readiness model for projects of varying size
  • Establish governance with clear roles, responsibilities and decision-making authority
  • Embed assurance activities that verify genuine readiness rather than assumed readiness
  • Align framework activities with every phase of the project lifecycle
  • Integrate readiness framework outputs with wider project management systems and apply relevant standards

Target Group

  • Operational readiness managers, framework owners and governance professionals
  • Commissioning and startup managers coordinating framework rollout
  • Quality and assurance professionals verifying readiness evidence
  • Engineers and project professionals building expertise in integrated readiness frameworks
