Assessing Project Impact Before It Happens: ESIA Training Course for Professionals (Online / Remote)

1Summary

A project that skips a proper environmental and social impact assessment doesn't avoid the impact - it just discovers it later, usually as a lawsuit, a community protest, or a lender who pulls funding. The Arab British Fellowship Training Academy designed this training programme to help development planners, project teams, and regulators get ahead of that risk, building the capacity to anticipate, assess, and manage environmental and social consequences across the full project lifecycle rather than after the fact.

The course gives a structured, practical grounding in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), covering the international standards, national legislation, and institutional requirements that increasingly shape how infrastructure, energy, extractives, and urban development projects get approved and financed. Attendees leave equipped to plan responsibly and protect both long-term project viability and the well-being of the communities a project touches.
