Multi-Modality Imaging Maintenance Training Course (MRI, X-ray & CT Systems) (Online / Remote)
1Summary
Most hospitals run MRI, X-ray, and CT equipment side by side, and technicians rarely get to specialise in just one. This Multi-Modality Imaging Maintenance Training Course, from the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, is built for that reality — giving participants a working command of all three systems rather than treating them as separate specialisms.
The course moves modality by modality through structure, safety, and troubleshooting, then pulls the threads together in shared topics like power systems, cooling, software, and quality assurance. Participants finish able to maintain, diagnose, and repair MRI, X-ray, and CT equipment to the standard healthcare facilities expect, while staying compliant with industry regulations.
2Objectives and target group
Who Should Attend?
- Biomedical engineers and service technicians who work across MRI, X-ray, and CT systems, and field technicians specialising in one or more of these modalities
- Healthcare professionals involved in the operational and maintenance side of medical imaging equipment
- Anyone advancing a career in medical imaging maintenance and servicing
Knowledge and Benefits:
After completing the program, participants will be able to:
- Identify common issues across MRI, X-ray, and CT systems and repair them effectively
- Understand the core principles behind each imaging technology and how they differ
- Carry out maintenance procedures and troubleshooting specific to each modality
- Conduct preventive maintenance that extends equipment life and improves system reliability
- Service all three systems in compliance with health and safety standards
