Training Course in Modern Sound Engineering Methods (Online / Remote)
1Summary
Behind every clean broadcast voice, polished song or dramatic sound effect sits a sound engineer's decisions – choices most audiences never notice consciously, but instantly feel when they are missing. Over the past few decades the craft has evolved fast: sound engineering can now reshape audio quality, hide imperfections and bring out the beauty in a recording, whether that means adding effects and custom music to a television production, enhancing an advertisement, or shaping a song's rhythm from fast to slow to classical.
The Arab British Fellowship Training Academy built this Modern Sound Engineering Methods course for anyone who wants to learn these techniques properly: audio re-recording, filtering, and the modern software used for sound work worldwide.
2Objectives and target group
Target Audience:
- Managers and owners of television channels and radio stations.
- Managers of the sound engineering department in television production companies, and all personnel working in it.
- All personnel involved in audio re-recording, and in sound purification and filtering in the studio.
Knowledge and Benefits:
This course equips participants with new skills and effectively activates their abilities through:
- Introducing sound, its specifications and unit of measurement, and explaining the elements of sound and how to handle them.
- Introducing analog and digital audio signals and how to work with them.
- Familiarising participants with various recording devices and their usage methods, and with microphones, their types and how to use them.
- Familiarising participants with recording studios, their setup methods and standard ratios.
