Training Course in Financial Instruments: Fundamentals and Derivatives (Online / Remote)

1Summary

Picture a company that wins a tender to import goods in a foreign currency, with delivery three months out. Between signing the contract and actually paying for the shipment, the exchange rate can move enough to wipe out the entire profit margin on the deal. That gap between a contract signed today and its execution months later is exactly what derivative financial instruments exist to manage.

A derivative is simply a contract agreed now but settled in the future, built specifically to shield a business from risks it cannot control at signing time. The Arab British Fellowship Training Academy designed this course to walk professionals through both the main financial instruments and their derivative counterparts, and how each is used to avoid exposure before a future contract is actually executed.
