Psychological Counselling and Therapeutic Intervention Skills Training Course (Online / Remote)

1Summary

A patient who is not properly guided rarely responds well to treatment, no matter how skilled the treating team is — which is exactly why the guiding relationship itself is treated as a clinical skill, not a soft add-on. This Arab British Fellowship Training Academy course trains counsellors, mentors, and health staff to run that relationship well, from the first conversation through to helping a patient replace distorted thinking with healthier, more realistic beliefs.

Guidance and therapeutic work is, at its core, a cognitive process: it deals with how a person thinks about their problems, not just the problems themselves. Participants learn to read behavioural and emotional cues, apply structured reasoning and dialogue techniques, and match each case with the treatment approach it actually needs — building the warm, trustworthy relationship that consistently leads to better outcomes.
