The Voice of the Match: A Training Course in Sports Commentary and Broadcasting (Online / Remote)

1Summary

Most people can describe what happened in a football match. Very few can make you feel it happening while you listen — and that difference is exactly what separates a sports presenter from a real commentator. This course, delivered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, is built to develop that second, rarer skill.

Participants train on the concrete mechanics of live commentary: reading a match's laws and tactics well enough to explain them on the fly, controlling tone and pace as the action shifts, and keeping their emotions in check even when the match does not.

By the end, participants can walk into a live broadcast prepared — researched, composed, and ready to turn even a difficult match into something worth listening to.
