Oil and Gas Emergency Preparedness and Response Training Course (Online / Remote)
1Summary
When something goes wrong on an oil or gas site, the difference between a contained incident and a major disaster often comes down to how prepared the response team is. This course is built around exactly that: the decisions, skills and experience needed to handle emergencies as they arise during oil and gas production.
It's offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy for anyone who wants to understand how the oil and gas industry works end-to-end — from exploration, extraction and refining through to transportation (typically via tankers or pipelines) and the marketing of the resulting products. Crude oil in particular feeds a huge range of downstream goods, from fuel and pharmaceuticals to solvents, fertilisers, pesticides and plastics.
The sector is generally split into upstream, midstream and downstream operations, with midstream usually grouped alongside downstream activity. Given how central oil and gas remain to global energy production and modern industry as a whole, ensuring these resources are extracted safely — and that any emergency is managed effectively — carries real weight for economies worldwide.
