Training Course on Designing and Delivering International Cooperation Projects (Online / Remote)

1Summary

Many promising partnerships between countries and international organisations stall not because the idea is weak, but because the project behind it was never built to survive real-world coordination, funding, and cultural challenges. Turning a cooperation agreement into a project that actually delivers results demands more than good intentions – it takes structured planning, cross-border coordination, and a clear sustainability plan from day one.

The Training Course on Designing and Delivering International Cooperation Projects, offered by the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, walks participants through the full lifecycle of collaborative projects between states, institutions, and international bodies – from needs analysis and budgeting to negotiation, risk management, and final evaluation. Participants leave with the practical toolkit needed to keep multi-party projects coordinated, funded, and sustainable long after the initial agreement is signed.

2Objectives and target group

  • Translate cooperation agreements into structured, deliverable projects with clear goals and stakeholders.
  • Manage partnerships and coordination across multiple governments, institutions, and cultures.
  • Anticipate and respond to the political, financial, and cultural challenges that derail international projects.
  • Secure funding and allocate resources fairly among participating parties.
  • Build sustainability into every project stage so results outlast the funding cycle.

  • Coordinators and project managers working across international organisations and NGOs.
  • Government and ministry staff engaged in international relations and cooperation.
  • Diplomatic and consular staff handling international cooperation portfolios.
  • Academics, consultants, and anyone building expertise in cross-border project management.
