Protecting Employees from Workplace Injuries: A Safety Training Course (Online / Remote)

1Summary

A single unguarded trench, a faulty brake, or a fall from height can turn an ordinary workday into a medical emergency — which is exactly why occupational safety needs to be built into how a facility runs, not added on after something goes wrong. This Arab British Fellowship Training Academy course gives safety specialists and security supervisors the modern knowledge they need to manage occupational health and safety, from accident investigation and root-cause analysis to the cost-accounting side of maintenance and prevention.

The course sets out the core principles of workplace safety, the key risks and challenges facilities actually face, and practical ways to reduce them. Participants also build the skills security supervisors need to design and run full security plans, apply the right safety measures, and manage emergency response — with a focus on advanced methods for strengthening facility security and reacting quickly when something goes wrong.

2Objectives and target group

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and analyse potential risks through quality control of equipment and machinery — vehicle brakes, trench safety, gas-exposure protection, and fall protection on construction sites.
  • Provide medical care and first aid for emergencies, and train workers to deliver it when needed.
  • Arrange transport for injured workers to pre-selected healthcare centres.
  • Prepare for emergencies linked to serious risks, including fires and earthquakes.
  • Record and track injuries to identify their causes, compare rates across sites and time periods, and strengthen future prevention.
  • Share information on chemical and physical worksite risks and run educational and counselling programmes for workers.
  • Build a unified safety and security system across the institution, backed by contracts with insurance and healthcare providers.

Who Should Attend?

  • Occupational health and safety specialists responsible for identifying and managing workplace risk.
