Earthquakes, fires, road accidents, workplace injuries and conflict zones all share one thing: the injury arrives suddenly, at a time and place nobody chose, which makes trained bystanders and first responders the real first line of defense. Knowing how to read vital signs, stabilize a fracture, or manage a burn correctly in those first moments is what keeps a manageable injury from turning into a life-threatening one.
