A capital project can finish on time and under budget and still disappoint the business in its first year of operation — not because the engineering was wrong, but because nobody made sure the organisation was ready to run what had been built. This training course tackles that gap directly, giving participants a practical, structured route through operational readiness for capital projects, from the earliest planning stages through to a confident, controlled start of operations.
Participants build hands-on skill in reading a capital project through an operations lens: sequencing readiness milestones against the project delivery schedule, running readiness assessment exercises that actually test preparedness rather than just ticking boxes, and steering the operations transition on both brownfield sites with live constraints and greenfield sites starting from empty ground. Along the way, the course draws out the governance habits and common pitfalls that separate readiness programs that hold up under pressure from ones that unravel at handover.
