Sites that get this balance wrong end up either empty of visitors or stripped of what made them worth visiting. The Heritage Site & Cultural Tourism Development Training Course, delivered by Arab British Fellowship Training Academy, is built for the professionals who have to manage that trade-off every day.
The course starts from that tension rather than from definitions: how to welcome visitors to UNESCO and other culturally significant sites without accelerating their decline, how to turn heritage assets into genuine cultural tourism experiences, and how heritage conservation practices can coexist with active tourism rather than compete with it. Delivered under the Hospitality and Tourism specialisation, participants also learn to plan destinations around heritage assets and lead institutions toward long-term sustainability rather than one-off preservation projects.
