Clean energy does not mean impact-free energy. A wind farm still disturbs soil, alters habitats, changes the soundscape a community lives with, and can shift migration patterns for birds and marine life, onshore and offshore alike. None of that disqualifies wind power as a climate solution, but it does mean every serious project needs a rigorous, evidence-based process for finding those impacts before construction starts and managing them once it does. That process is the Environmental Impact Assessment, and doing it well is what separates a wind farm that earns its social license from one that fights it for years.
Arab British Fellowship Training Academy designed this course around that process end to end. Participants will work through the methodology and tools behind an EIA, the specific impacts on wildlife, ecosystems, and communities that assessments have to capture, the mitigation and monitoring work that follows, and the regulatory and legal framework that ties it all together. The course closes by looking at how digital tools and evolving sustainability goals are reshaping EIA practice.
