Training Course in Documentary Filmmaking: From Concept to Screen (Online / Remote)

Summary

A true story only becomes a documentary once someone knows how to research it, frame it, and cut it so an audience actually feels it — the gap between "interesting footage" and a film people remember is almost entirely craft. This Arab British Fellowship Training Academy course builds that craft from the ground up, taking participants from choosing a worthwhile subject through filming, sound, editing, and getting the finished film in front of an audience.

Along the way, participants balance journalistic accuracy with creative storytelling, work hands-on with cameras, microphones, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro, and learn how documentaries influence media, culture, and society — skills built through practical experience and direct guidance from working documentary professionals.
