What really sets a bank apart from any other place you could put your money? It is the role it plays as an intermediary: a bank protects deposits, puts them to work, and lends them out against a guarantee, and it is exactly this intermediary role that shapes every banking sales conversation covered in this Arab British Fellowship Training Academy course.
A bank is run by its owner or manager together with a team of staff, and functions as the safe place where surplus money is kept and, when needed, borrowed against a guarantee or a guarantor who covers repayment if the borrower falls behind. Banks typically pay annual interest on deposits left untouched for an agreed period, sometimes compounded, while charging borrowers for the amounts they need — a practice considered forbidden (riba) under Islamic law.
This course is built for anyone who wants strong skills for working in the money markets and real experience in bank and branch management.
