Every interest rate decision a central bank makes ripples through prices, jobs, exchange rates, and eventually the balance sheet of every bank operating in that economy. Understanding how that ripple works, and how to manage it from inside a financial institution, is what this course is built around.
Monetary policy is the set of processes a country's monetary authority uses to control money supply, usually by targeting inflation or interest rates, in order to keep prices stable and maintain public confidence in the currency. It aims to support economic growth, bring down unemployment, and keep exchange rates predictable against other currencies. Policy itself swings between two modes: expansionary, which grows the money supply faster than usual, and contractionary, which slows that growth down.
Arab British Fellowship Training Academy built this program for anyone who wants strong capability in financial market work alongside real experience managing banks and financial institutions.
