That is precisely the job financial analysis does: it is the tool that turns raw financial statements into a clear read on an institution's strengths, weaknesses and overall balance, both in the short and the long term.

Through structured financial-ratio analysis and detailed review of financial statements, analysts are able to flag policy weaknesses early, propose corrective solutions, and give management the internal and external results it needs to steer the institution.
