Cost-Smart Procurement and Warehousing: A Training Course in Purchasing Economics (Online / Remote)

Summary

Studies keep pointing to the same uncomfortable fact: many companies tie up more than seventy percent of their capital in stock sitting on warehouse shelves. That single number is why purchasing and storage cannot be treated as back-office paperwork — they are where a company’s money actually lives. This training course from the Arab British Fellowship Training Academy is built around that reality, for anyone responsible for deciding what gets bought, how it gets stored, and how both decisions get made without wasting capital.

Storage itself is simple to define — keeping goods until they are needed — but hard to do well: the warehouse location, its internal layout, and the speed and accuracy of material flow through it all affect the bottom line, and an unscientific choice at any of these points produces errors that ripple through the whole operation. On the purchasing side, the course also works through how public and commercial procurement contracts are actually put together, the specifications that make or break a tender, and the dispute-resolution routes available when a contract goes wrong.
