Empowering Independence: A Training Course in Rehabilitation for People with Special Needs (Online / Remote)

Summary

Rehabilitation for someone with a disability is rarely just about medical treatment -- getting back the ability to work, study, and take part in daily life usually matters just as much as physical recovery itself. What counts as success looks different for every person, since it depends on the specific disability someone is living with and what independence would actually look like for them.

This course looks at rehabilitation as the ongoing effort to help a person with a disability reach a solid level of medical, psychological, educational, economic and professional functioning, built on the principle that people with disabilities have the same right to full participation in society as anyone else.

Who Should Attend?

  • People with disabilities and their support networks.
  • Professionals working in disability services.
  • Mental health and psychological counselling consultants across individual, family, hospital and outpatient settings.
