• Workforce planning and attracting the right talent.
• Interview skills for direct managers, building a candidate's job file and preparing technical evaluations.
• Recruitment and nomination, and behavioural interviews.
• Employment contracts, job descriptions and person specifications.
• Compensation and benefits.

Module 3: Managing and Developing Performance

• Training and talent management, and succession planning.
• Running an effective 360-degree performance evaluation.
• Hands-on practice with modern evaluation tools.
• Developing the team through training, and demonstrating the added value of training activities.

Module 4: Keeping People Engaged

• Building engagement, motivation and loyalty within the team.
• Handling absence effectively.

Module 5: Handling Complaints and Turnover

• Understanding staff morale and defining what a grievance actually is, as distinct from a complaint.
• Grievance-handling procedures.
• A manager's role before, during and after an exit interview.
• Analysing turnover, and telling healthy turnover apart from unhealthy turnover.
